functions:
active/void - determines whether random values will be sent to the currently displayed control number
chaos min/max - sets the range of possible random values sent to each active control
chaos global/local - each individual control can be given a min/max value when local is selected
frequency - the rate of random changes when the catalyst is active
catalyst active/idle - starts and stops random control changes
single - sends one random value to each active control
save/load - store active/void and min/max slider settings in a data file
important keyboard short cuts:
space bar = toggle between active and void
up arrow = advance to next control
down arrow = previous control
alt+a = set all controls to active
alt+v = set all controls to void
